Ford: Campus Green

Ford has always been at the top with innovation and design. With technology and new vehicles constantly evolving, Ford wanted to transform their Dearborn facilities into a modern, green and high tech campus. Ford has always wanted to keep a work facility that empowered  employee collaboration and innovation throughout its history.

One of Ford's main purpose is to build into the future. To help Ford's evolution and goal to be an auto and mobility company, they are transforming their headquarters into an ideal, sustainable work environment to grow the collaboration of the Ford team and to foster even more innovation than ever before.

Their primary plan is to connect the 30,000 employees from all 70 buildings into two chief locations. The first location is the Product Campus, that will feature a 700,000-square-food design center and have state of the art studios with a complementary outdoor courtyard to work and hangout. In the Product Campus, employees will focus on technology integration and testing autonomous vehicles. The campus will also offer on-demand shuttles and e-bikes for getting around the facility.

Ford's campuses will also be green, promoting sustainability. There will be geothermal heating and cooling, and they are also planning to reduce water usage by 50% by using efficient plumbing fixtures, rainwater capture, and an automated metering system to monitor the entire system for efficiency.

Ford is ready to step into the future of innovation, design, and sustainability.
