follow these tips and you’ll be on your way!
- Don’t wait until your gas tank is empty to fill
In warmer climates, gasoline
evaporates quickly. The more gas you have in your tank, the less amount of air
that’s in there.
- Turn off your A/C
You are probably reading this and
saying, “I live in FL, how could I possibly abide by this?” Did you know that
that when your A/C is on, your engine is working to drive that compressor alone
AND the car itself. When you feel just a
slight breeze in the air, roll the windows down and enjoy the fresh air
- Using Cruise Control
Most people, if not all, are very
erratic with their accelerator. When you switch to cruise control, your ride
with be a lot smoother, for you and your passengers and your gas tank will
thank you.
- Don't Speed
The speed limit is there for a
reason. It could save your life and a few extra dollars.
- Keep junk out of your car
You may not think so, but any
excess weight can upset the balance of a car, slowing you down a decent amount.
It is great to get in the habit of cleaning your car out and getting rid of
anything you don’t use on a daily basis.
